Sprats Tawa Fry


Ingredients...............
  1. Sprats- 1
  2. Lemon juice- 1/2 tbsp
  3. Plain flour- 2 tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Turmeric Powder- 2 pinch
  6. Oil for fry- 4 tbsp
Method.......................
  • Wash the fish, remove the heads and trim the tails, make a slit in the belly and remove the guts, now wash again and dry with kitchen paper.



Squeezed the lemon and mix flour salt, turmeric powder together and dust with this mixture both sides.



Heat the pan or Tawa drop 2 tbsp oil and place sprats and cook about 3 min on low medium heat
  • Fry in batches, turning once until golden brown, drain well
  • Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread and butter.
