Apple Sweet Bites

Ingredients................

  1. Raw sweet red apple-2

  2. Sugar- 100gm

  3. Green cardamom-2

  4. Oil- 4tbsp

  5. Cashew and raisins

  6. Poppy seeds/ khuskhus-1tbsp

  7. Orange food colour(optional)

Method...............

  • Peel the apples and make a smooth paste using mixer.

  • Heat the wok, pour oil, after 1/2 min add green cardamom and apple paste and fry on a medium flame, till all the water is evaporated, now add poppy seeds, dryfruits.

  • Now add the sugar, food colour. Actually at this step, the apple should be measured and equal volume of sugar should be added.

Cook, mixing occasionally, till the mixture thickens and all the sugar is mixed well with apples. Towards the end, you need to mix continuously, otherwise it sticks to bottom of the pan and gets burnt.

  • Transfer the contents on a greased(with ghee) plate or cutting board. I just used a wax paper. Flatten it with a rolling pin. To avoid sticking to rolling pin, grease it with some ghee.

  • Apple sweet bites is ready to serve.
