Gud karela (Sweet Bitter Melon)


Ingredients..................................


  1. Bitter melon sliced (Karela)- 250gm
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Gud (jaggery)-20gm
  4. Oil- 8tsp
  5. Minced Garlic- 2tsp
  6. Cumin seeds- 1 
  7. Sliced onion- 175gm

Method...............................

  • Heat the oil, add cumin seeds and minced garlic and fry for 1/2min., now add sliced onion and fry till tender or brown.




  • Now add sliced bitter melon (karela) +salt, and fry for 1/2min and cover from the lid and cook for tender or 15min low medium heat. 



  • Now add gud (jaggery) and fry for 10 min, fry properly.


  • Gud karela (Sweet Bitter Melon) is ready to serve.

Italian Minestrone Soup


Ingredients..................................


  1. Diced Mix veg- 1canned veg
  2. Tomato puree- 1/2cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Black pepper pwd- 1/4tsp
  5. Boiled diced pasta- 1/2cup
  6. Vegetable stock- 2cup
  7. Oregano- 1/2tsp
  8. Chopped garlic- 1tsp
  9. Chopped onion- 1/2cup
  10. oil- 5tsp

Method............................

  • Heat the wok, add oil after 1/2 min add garlic and onion fry for tender or 1min, now add tomato puree+ slat, black pepper + oregano+pasta  and mix vegetables cook for 1/2min, now add vegetable stock.





  • here, I used ready made  vegetable stock cubes.



  • Italian Minestrone Soup is ready to serve.

Home-made Black olive Bread


Ingredients.........................


  1. Plain Flour- 200gm
  2. Yeast- 1/2tsp
  3. Sugar- 1tsp
  4. Oil- 5tsp
  5. Water- 1/2cup
  6. black Olives- 1/2cup 

Method...................................

  • Take a big bowl add flour+ salt+ sugar+ olives+oil and mix properly.

  • Now take Luke warm water, dissolve yeast and pour in lour and made smooth dough.


  • Keep a side or 1/2 hour, now roll the dough according to you








  • Again keep a side for 1/2 hour, pre heat oven 200oc..

  • Place the olive bread in oven and less the tempreture 150, bake for 40min.


  • Home-made Black olive Bread is ready to eat.

Macher Jhol (Sardines in watery Indian sauce)


Ingredients.................


  1. Sardines/ Sprats/ Indian rohu/ small fishes-  5-6
  2. Cumin pwd- 3tsp
  3. Turmeric pwd- 1tsp
  4. Red chilli pwd- 1/4tsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Onion seeds/ Kalongi- 2tsp
  7. Red whole chili- 1-2
  8. Corriander chopped- 4tsp
  9. Ginger garlic paste- 2tsp
  10. Chopped tomato- 1cup
  11. Oil-1/4cup

Method...................................

  • Wash sardines properly and marinate with salt and turmeric pwd and keep aside for 1/2 hour.


  • Take a bowl add cumin pwd+turmeric pwd+salt+red chili pwd+ginger garlic paste+ 5tsp water and mix them well and leave for 1min.


  • Heat the wok, add oil after 1 min, add marinated fish and fry both sides for 3 min. take out fishes and keep a side.



  • Now add onion seeds and red whole chilli in rest oil, fry for 1/2min, add cumin pwd paste and fry for 5 min, low medium heat, now add chopped tomato, salt again fry till tender or 2min. 




  • Now add water 1 cup, it depends on you, you can add or less water, cover from lid and cook for 4min, now add fried fish and cover the lid again and cook for 2 min. switch off the heat. sprinkle chopped coriander fresh.





  • Macher Jhol (Sardines in watery Indian sauce) is ready to serve.
