Dedicated to Hanuman, the festival of Bada Mangal is said to be Lucknow's symbol of communal harmony between Hindus and Muslims. - Gram flour- 3tsp
- Plain flour/Maida- 2sp
- Yeast- 2pinch
- Food colour orange- 1pinch
- Water- 1/4cup
- Sugar syrup- 1cup
- Green Cardamom pwd- 2pinc
- Oil- 1/2 cup
Method.........................
- Take a big bowl, add gram flour, plain flour, yeast and make smooth semi thick paste using water (battered should not be watery otherwise drops will not come out round shape ) , keep aside for10 min.
- Now heat the wok, here I am using drainer you can use hole spatula as well, pour the battered in drainer and fry the boonies/ drops.
- Now put the fried boondies in sugar syrup (for hanuman boondies sugar syrup consistency should be one string) and cover it from lid for 10 min.
- Hanuman Boondi is ready to eat.
