Egg-less Rum WalDate Cake





  1. Dates, pitted and chopped - 100gm soaked in rum about 2-3 hours
  2. English walnuts, coarsely chopped -100gm
  3. Caster sugar- 200gm 
  4. Baking powder -1tbsp
  5. Self raising flour -200gm
  6. Rum-4tbsp
  7. Vanilla extract- 1tbsp
  8. Vegetable oil- 5tbsp
  9. Milk- 5tbsp



Method.................
  • Preheat the oven to 150 C / Gas mark 2. Grease and flour a 10cm (2 in) tube cake tin.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and oil together then after add sugar and milk and whisk about 1min
  • Now add walnut and date, mix it well then add vanilla extract.









  • Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes. Let cool in tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.



  • Egg less Rum waldate cake is ready to eat
