- Split peeled green gram- 2cup soaked in water
- Cumin seeds- 2tbsp
- Grated ginger- 2tbsp
- Grated garlic- 1tbsp
- Chopped tomato-1/2cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 10tbsp
- Onion paste- 1/2cup
- Red chili pwd- 1tbsp
- Coriander pwd- 1tbsp
- Garam masala- 1/2 tbsp
- Mango powder- 1/2tbsp
- Turmeric pwd- 1tbsp
Method..................
- Wash the split green gram and make a smooth paste using mixer, now heat the wok pour 5tbsp oil and add cumin seeds 1tbsp,green gram paste and salt, start stirring the lentil paste on a low heat.You have to continue until the lentil paste starts to thicken and starts coming together in a soft dough.About 15-20 minutes. Taste the lentils to ensure that the rawness is gone.
- Once the dough starts forming, immediately remove from heat, coz the lentils will continue to cook for 5-10 minutes in the absorbed heat.,When the mixture is little bit cool, with oiled palms, roll into medium-sized balls, Set aside the balls.
- Now heat the wok pour oil approx 10 tbsp, after 4sec add cumin seeds and ginger garlic grated paste , fry till light brown.
- No add onion paste dry spices, salt and tomato now cook low medium heat about 5min. then after transfer the lentil balls in onion paste and mix them well, fry about 2 min.
- Spicy Lentil Balls (Moonh daal Balls) is ready to serve.
