Fish Cakes


Ingredients.......................
  1. Skinned Icelandic cod or haddock fillet(Boiled White fish/ canned- 200gm I am using rohu)
  2. Boiled Bengal Gram- 100gm
  3. Green chili-3-4
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Bread crumbs- 6tbap
  6. Ginger grated- 1tbsp
  7. Garlic grated- 1 tbsp
  8. Onion chopped- 1cup
  9. Coriander powder-1tbsp
  10. Red chili powder-1 tbsp
  11. Cumin powder- 1tbsp
  12. Crushed black pepper- 1/2 tbsp
  13. Soya sauce- 3tbsp
  14. Plain flour- 2tbsp
  15. Oil for fry
Method....................
  • First boiled Bengal gram / chana daal with salt, green chili and crushed black pepper.
  • Mix all ingredients (fish, Bengal gram boiled, bread crumbs, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder,red chili powder, chopped onion, soya sauce) and make a small flat Pattie.
  • Now make smooth paste of plain flour and dip a fish cake and roll in bread crumb again, shape into 8cakes, and keep it in fridge for 1 hour.
  • Heat the wok and pour some drop of oil and place the cakes and fry till golden brown both sides
  • Fish cake is ready to serve.
