For Batter
- Paneer (cottage cheese)diced-200gm
- Plain flour- 3tbsp
- Black pepper-1/4tbsp
- Potato starch/cornstarch-1tbsp
- Red chilli flakes-1/2tbsp
- Ginger grated-1/2tbsp
- Grated garlic-1/2tbsp
- Salt -1pinch
- water-5tbsp
- oil for deep fry-1cup
- Soy sauce- 4tbsp
- Honey-1/2tbsp
- Tomato ketchup-2tbsp
- Vinegar-4tbsp
- Hot extra chili sauce-1tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Bellpepper-1/2 cup
- Sliced onion-1/4cup
- Black pepper
- Grated ginger-1tbsp
- Grated garlic-1tbsp
- First Combine together the: plainflour, corn/potato starch, chili powder/flacks, salt, black pepper and water as needed. mix well and prepare a semi thick coating batter out of it.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan. Dip the Paneer(cottage cheese) one by one in the batter and deep fry. Drain when golden brown. Set aside.
- Heat the wok add 2 tablespoons of oil . Add the sliced onions, ginger, garlic and black pepper. Fry for ½ minute. Add the bell peppers salt and fry it , then add soy sauce, honey, vinegar, hot extra chili sauce and salt. Simmer uncovered for 1 minute.now add 1/2 cup water
- Add the corn /potato starch 1/2 tbsp then add fried paneer(cottage cheese) and stir continuously, so that the sauce becomes thick.
- Chili Paneer(cottage cheese with chili sauce) is ready to serve .
