Spinach dumpling with gravy


Ingredients......

For Dumplings........
  1. Chopped spinach- 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion- 1/2 cup
  3. Chopped Green chili- 2
  4. Garlic clove- chopped- 2
  5. Ginger small dices- 1 tbsp
  6. salt to taste
  7. Coriander powder- 1tbsp
  8. Mango powder- 1/4 tbsp
  9. Red chili powder- 1/2 tbsp
  10. Gram flour- 5 tbsp
  11. Oil for deep fry- 1 cup
For Gravy............
  1. Chopped onion- 2
  2. Green cardamom- 2
  3. Black cardamom-2
  4. Cinnamon- 1inch
  5. Black pepper- 5-6
  6. Cloves- 4-5
  7. Red dry chili- 2
  8. Corriander powder
  9. Chopped ginger- 1 tbsp
  10. Chopped garlic- 1 tbsp
  11. Chopped tomato- 1
  12. Oil - 4 tbsp
  13. Curd- 1/2 cup
  14. Kasoori methi- 2 tbsp
Method..............

For Dumpling............
  • Mix all ingredients like spinach, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, mango powder, gram flour, green chopped chili, ginger, garlic and onion and make a ball using some drop of oil, take a bowl pour 2 tbsp rice or plain flour and code the balls evenly.
  • Heat the wok add oil and fry the dumpling till golden brown.

For Gravy............
  • heat the wok again, pour 6 tbsp oil, add ginger, garlic and dry whole spices and fry 1/2 min then add chopped onion and fry 1 min .
  • After 1 min add choppd tomato and fry again 1/2 min, off the heat and pour all cooked ingredients in mixer and make smooth paste.
  • Again heat the wok  pour the paste add curd and dry spices like salt coriander powder, red chili powder, food colour, 2 tbsp sugar and kasoori methi, mix it well cook 1 min, now pour the dumplings and cover the lid about 1 min.
  • If you want thick gravy you can add corn starch/ potato flour- 1tbsp, Spinach dumpling with gravy is ready to serve.
