Kidney Beans Curry (Rajma)


Ingredients..................
  1. Boiled kidney beans- 1 bowl
  2. Onion paste- 1small bowl link is http://noopurnikhil.blogspot.com/2011/02/onion-paste.html
  3. Bay leaves-2
  4. Cloves- 4
  5. Green cardamom- 2
  6. Black cardamom-1
  7. Oil- 7 tbsp
  8. Cinnamon- 1 inch
  9. Coriander powder- 1tbsp
  10. turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Mango powder- 1/2 tbsp
  13. Raw peeled potato- 1
Method........
  • Heat the wok add oil after 1/2 min add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom and Cinnamon fry 1 /2 min then add onion paste and fry till thick.
  • Now add dry spices like coriander pwd, mango pwd, turmeric pwd, salt and fry till golden brown after 2 min add boiled kidney beans/ rajmah and mix it well, fry 2 min and add (raw peeled potato for makeing thick gravy ).
  • Now add water 2 cup according to you, cover the lid and cook about 5 min or 4 whistle.
  • Open the lid and mashed using masher, Kidney beans/ rajmah is ready to serve.
