- Chopped tomato-1
- Yellow mustard seeds paste- 4 tbsp
- Red chili powder- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida- 2pinch
- Tamarind Water- 1/2 tbsp tamarind paste mix in 5 tbsp water
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Sardines- 6
- Salt- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tbsp
- Black Mustard seeds- 1 tbsp
- Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 tbsp
- Nigella sativa seeds (kalonji)- 1/2 tbsp
- Mustard oil- 7 tbsp
- Onion-1
- Green chili-2
- Coriander seeds- 3 tbsp
- Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp
- Garlic-2
- Ginger-1 inch
- Black Ppper- 10- 15
- Heat the wok high heat and pour mustard oil and spread oil all over the wok, add marinated sardines fish and fry till light golden brown from both side.
- Now add Nigella seeds (kalonji), fenugreek seeds, black mustard seeds in oil and fry 1 min then add onion paste and fry about 5 min, when paste turns thick add Asafoetida (heeng).
- After 1 min add chopped tomato, turmeric powder and red chili powder fry about 2min then add salt to taste, now add yellow mustard paste and fry again 5 min sprinkle coriander leaves.
- Now time to add tamarind water and 1 cup plain water and cook for 5 min or start boiling, after 5 min add fried Sardines fish cook again 5 min.
- Sardines Mustard curry is ready to eat .
